Activities have safe limits
Canoeing might take 10 and archery 12. Going over isn't an option.
Camps
Campers rank the activities they love. PickAndRank gives each camper an activity in every session when there are places they can take, never the same one twice, and keeps every group within its safe size.

The problem
Canoeing might take 10 and archery 12. Going over isn't an option.
Morning, afternoon and evening, with no repeats, is a puzzle that eats an evening to solve by hand.
Campers and parents notice when the same children always get the best activities.
How it works
Give each activity its places in each session. Add up to three sessions as rounds on Pro or Large.
Families or campers rank on a phone. Ask for an email if you want a way to reach them.
Each camper gets an activity in each session when there are places they can take, never the same one twice.
Print one roster per activity and session, with a tick box for each name.
Example
Pick the Camp sessions template when you create an event. It fills in the options, seats, rounds and ranking rules for you to change. Several rounds need Pro or Large; on Free, the template keeps one.
| Option | Places | Rule |
|---|---|---|
| Archery | 12 places | – |
| Canoeing | 10 places | – |
| Crafts | 15 places | – |
| Hiking | 15 places | – |
Rounds: Morning, Afternoon, Evening
Built in
Nobody gets the same activity twice, and the spread across sessions is as even as it can be without making the result worse.
An activity can take more people in the afternoon than in the morning, or run in only some sessions.
One page per activity and session, ready for the instructor's clipboard.
People who join after placing can be given the places left over, without moving anyone else.
